This is an unmanned aircraft created for weapon usage in the military, US Border protection, and the police force. Some of them carry missiles or bombs, but those are usually only in the military. It is basically a silent unmanned aircraft with a camera on it. When they run it though, your privacy no longer exists because you don't know they are watching you. This causes lots of controversy as to whether or not it even worth using. Although a lot of people are fans of them because it makes them feel safe, others think the cost is unreasonable, and so is the loss of privacy.

The second article focuses more on a particular type of drone. Although an older drone, this one is a good example of one of the drones they use in the military. The MQ-9 reaper, or the gorgon stare basically watches you through a bunch of video feeds. It also sometimes carries a bomb or missile. This has been caused controversy too though because it could kill civilians as well as people in the military. This article is not very recent, though.
